Join Troop 42

Thank you for your interest in Scouts BSA Troop 42

National Jamboree

You are welcome to join us from Cub Scouts, or if you are brand new to scouting! We’d love to have you.

Troop 42 is a combined boys and girls troop, asp art of the Pacific Skyline Council program that allows scouts of all genders to be registered in one single troop. Please arrange to meet us and come to a meeting or to talk to us by phone for more information.

Once you are ready to join our Troop, please follow the guide below. Your parent/legal guardian can help complete it with you. If you have questions Contact Us so we can help.

Guide to joining Troop 42

  1. First, please read the Troop Guidebook as it has a lot of useful information about how Troop 42 is run.
  2. Complete the Troop Registration Questionnaire. This gives us all of the information to register you as a scout.
  3. Send your “New member registration fee” of $100 via Venmo.

4. Register with Scouting America for Troop 42 . As part of your initial registration, you will also need to pay National Dues via the My Scouting website to Scouting America.

5. Download and fill out your Medical Forms. You will need to complete Parts A, B1, and B2 of the BSA Health & Medical Form and include copies of the front and back of your health insurance card.  Part C of this form (the part that requires a physicians signature) is NOT required to join the troop, but we will collect Part C prior to participation in summer camps and outings.

6. Upload your completed medical forms and fill out our New Member Checklist.

7. Finally, email membership@troop42sm.org when complete! You’ll expect to hear back from our membership coordinator with your Troop 42 website login. We look forward to your Scout joining us at meetings and outings once these are completed!
